The biggest, most significant convention in the world, the London International Tattoo Convention, is returning for the 8th year running at Tobacco Dock this September. The Tattoo Life Magazine event organizers have pulled out all the stops for this one, adding more attractions, alternative entertainers, inspirational exhibitions, bands and even more world famous tattoo artists (including the likes of Ami James and Chris Nunez from Miami Ink) to this mega event!
Throughout the weekend there will be a delectable number of alternative shows and performances, all of which must be seen! These include Lucky Hell, ‘The Sword Swallowing Painted Lady’, The Fuel Girls, The Nerdy Stripper, Les Soeurs Tribales – a Tribal Bellydance & Modern Urban Fusion dance troupe, Sabina Kelley and our latest Rebelicious cover girl Elegy Ellem!
Musical acts confirmed to play live include The Neville Staples Band, Larry Miller, The Brothers Grimm, Vince Ray and The Bone Shakers and Henry’s Funeral Shoe. They will all be plying in Vince Ray’s Voodoo Crypt, with many more acts to be added.
That’s definitely not all, as amongst all the performances and live acts, you will also have the opportunity to stroll through special visual art exhibitions courtesy of The Amsterdam Tattoo Museum, Vis Dearum, Anatomy Of The Art and more.
Tattoo Contests will also be taking place through the weekend too, with categories such as ‘Best Of Day’, ‘Best Back Piece’, ‘Best Back Ornament’, ‘Best Colours’, ‘Best Black And Grey’ and ‘Best Of Show’ open to visitors themselves.
With a huge mass of tattoo equipment, stalls, alternative merchandise, fetish and vintage retro markets plus food and drink dotted around the venue, you really will be missing out on what is it set to be the most utterly awesome tattoo convention this year!
