What inspired you to take up modelling? I have a love of making images, I am an Illustrator as well as a model, so I am driven by a desire to make images. I also love fashion so modelling seemed a great way to combine the two, and I found that collaborating with so many talented photographers and designers was an exciting way to express myself creatively.
What are your favourite styles/themes to shoot? I love fetish and latex fashion, at the moment I’m loving colourful, cute and quirky shoots, heavily styled with a fashion edge, I love playing a character as well.
How would you describe your own personal style? My personal style is a combination of grunge, goth, and rock n roll; I live in Doc Martens and leather biker jackets, for a night out I add a bit of pin up and rockabilly to the mix to glam it up a little.
Are there any makeup/beauty products that you can’t live without? There’s a few I use daily; I can’t get through the day without my eyebrow pencil, liquid eyeliner and mascara. I don’t like wearing heavy makeup everyday, but I do use those essentials.
What makes you different to all the other models in the industry today? I like to think I have look that is very versatile, I am not defined by a bright hair colour or a sleeve tattoo (as much as I love those things). I can play any part for a shoot and bring a lot of character to a collaboration. I also play a part in the creative process of planning a shoot; it’s a lot more than just turning up on the day as far as I’m concerned.
Are there any designers/photographers/other models that you would love to collaborate with one day? There are a few creatives I would love to collaborate with, as for designers, it used to be Rubber Monkey Latex, but I’ve been lucky enough to recently collaborate with her and have more in the pipeline as well. so I guess now it would be Jane Doe Latex, her Religious inspired pieces are mind blowing and right up my street. Photographer wise it would have to be Scott Chalmers, I’ve always wanted to work with him, I think he’s an awesome talent. Model wise I got to collaborate with Masubi this year, something I’d wanted to do for ages and that was amazing! My dream shoot now would be with Victoria Modesta for sure.
Where do you hope to be in 5 years? I would love to have progressed further in the modelling world in five years time, that would be amazing. I hope to have made a magazine cover, I guess that’s my dream at the moment. I also hope to get some success as an Illustrator in that time too.
